This Course Is For You If You Are:

  • A seasoned-mum, new mum-to-be or trying to conceive.
  • Looking for a fresh approach to Diet and Exercise throughout pregnancy.
  • Confused about nutrition (what and how to eat) and sick of getting mixed messages about how you should eat during pregnancy.
  • Feeling frustrated with the mixed messages you are hearing about how to nourish yourself and your baby.
  • Not confident about what you are doing because of the well-meaning advice you are hearing.
  • Worried about how you will get your ‘pre-baby body’ back.
  • You are reading everything you can on the topic of pregnancy and feeling overwhelmed.
  • Sick of the vicious circle of dieting and exercising to “control” your body and worrying about how your body will change during pregnancy.

We will take you on a journey dispelling the myths about diet and exercise and take the guesswork out of what you “should” and “shouldn’t” be doing during pregnancy.

Our approach to nutrition and movement is about embracing life and finding joy amongst all the changes that occur throughout life; it is not about restriction and control.

We will help you relax around food and movement and find the joy in eating, moving throughout your pregnancy. We will not encourage you to watch your weight, or try to control it at any time. Instead, we will help you become more intuitive and listen to your body’s needs. We do not want you to restrict or deprive yourself of food or to use movement as a medium to punish your body for over-eating. Instead, we will encourage you to take steps towards adequate self-care and empower you to take good care of yourself. This involves YOU being in charge of your eating, movement and other lifestyle behaviours.

If you want to:

  • Feel inspired, empowered and supported on your journey during pregnancy.
  • Know that you are providing your baby with optimal nourishment.
  • Learn how to move in a way that is safe, enjoyable and supportive.
  • Learn how to accept your body.
  • Take good care of yourself.
  • Trust your body.
  • And ultimately you want to enjoy your pregnancy.

"I have been working with the ladies from The Womens’ Wellness Journey for the past 6 months; pre-conception and during the first few months of my pregnancy. I feel so much more relaxed about the journey I am on, both physically and mentally. I am also much more confident in knowing I am making the right choices for me and my baby.

Louise Cooper

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

I am a movement specialist; I find the best movement for individuals to achieve optimum health and well-being. Unlike many exercise physiologists, I have shied away from the normal structured prescriptive approach to exercise and prefer to assist individuals in finding the movement patterns that are natural and what the body is designed to do. After the birth of my first baby, I began to realise that my relationship with exercise and nurturing the body needed to change. No longer did I have the time to spend at the gym working out whenever I could, nor did I want to spend my time in this way, I wanted to spend time with my baby and celebrate the life that was in front of me. This spurred me on to look beyond the norm and incorporating movement in a different way, still maintaining my well-being but focusing much more on a holistic approach to life; focusing on the mind, body and soul.

My goal is to break your preconceptions about exercise and what it means to move.

I want movement to become part of your daily life, without all the usual “hassles” that come along with exercising.I want you to look forward to moving and show you how to create a more balanced relationship with movement and learn how to move well for you and your body; learn what you are missing out on and what you may be overdoing.

Natalie Thompson

Accredited Practising Dietitian

Natalie Thompson, a non-dieting Accredited Practising Dietitian and mother of 2 boys.

I am passionate about inspiring positive changes in eating and lifestyle behaviours to help improve health whilst nurturing relationships with food and body.

I enjoy helping mums and mums-to-be who struggle with nutrition and body image and worry about the impact they have on their children discover the joy in eating and make peace with food and their beautiful body whilst being the role model they imagine for their children, focusing on compassionately nourishing the mind, body and spirit of themselves and their children.

I believe there is a better way to care for yourself and it does not involve dieting or changing your body.

Your relationship with food and body is one of the most important relationships you will ever have. When your food and body are respected, most areas of nutrition fall into place and improvements in health (and other aspects of life) are seen.

I am not your average dietitian. After years working in the community as a clinical dietitian, I was touched by how (what I thought was) the ‘simple things in life’, such as the how to eat, was often a struggle for my clients regardless of what their health concern was, which had a negative effect on their relationships they had with their food and body and negatively affected their health and well-being.

These experiences helped me to see the bigger picture of nutrition, for what it is and the importance of compassion and self-care, as the keys to improving nutrition and health. I have nutrition counselled and health coached many clients through their mindset issues and barriers to change.
